🚀 Contentful Developer – Fixed-Term Contract

Help shape an enterprise-scale digital transformation project

We’re looking for a hands-on Contentful Developer to join an established technology team working on a major digital transformation initiative.

You’ll play an important role in designing, implementing and supporting a scalable headless CMS solution, working closely with developers, designers and content specialists to deliver a modern digital platform.

🧑‍💻 About the Role

As a Contentful Developer, you’ll be responsible for supporting the architecture and implementation of Contentful across an enterprise-scale environment.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across content modelling, integrations, APIs, automation and content migration, helping establish scalable and reusable content foundations.

What You'll Do

• 🧩 Design and implement Contentful content models, spaces and environments aligned with business requirements
• 🔗 Build and maintain integrations between Contentful and frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js and Vue, as well as backend services
• ⚙️ Develop custom scripts for content type creation, migration and automation
• 🔌 Work with REST, GraphQL and Contentful APIs
• 🤝 Collaborate with content strategists, designers and engineers to create scalable content structures
• 🌍 Optimise content delivery and manage localisation and multi-locale configurations
• 📦 Support the migration of legacy content into Contentful
• 🔄 Establish and maintain best practices around content governance, webhooks and CI/CD
• 🏗️ Contribute to the ongoing architecture and technical direction of the headless CMS platform

✅ What You'll Need

• 3–5+ years of commercial experience with Contentful or a similar headless CMS
• Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript skills
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Contentful's:
• • Content Management API (CMA)
  • Content Delivery API (CDA)
  • GraphQL API
• Strong understanding of content modelling, scalability and reusability
• Understanding of API-first and headless architecture principles
• Experience working in production environments with enterprise-scale applications

⭐ Nice to Have

• Experience with Contentful Merge
• Experience with the Contentful App Framework / Apps SDK
• Experience with Contentful migration tooling
• Previous involvement in digital transformation, replatforming or CMS migration projects
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD workflows
• Experience working with localisation and multi-region content platforms
