We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer based in Wellington to join our team and contribute to the development of modern Azure-based platforms and enterprise systems.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable backend services, integrations, and cloud-native applications using the Microsoft stack.

You’ll work with a team of experienced engineers delivering high-quality software and cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.


πŸ› οΈ What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and developing cloud-native backend services on Microsoft Azure
  • Building APIs, microservices, and integration layers for enterprise systems
  • Working with Azure PaaS services such as Service Bus, Functions, Azure SQL, and related services
  • Contributing to the architecture and evolution of modern distributed systems
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
  • Collaborating with engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions


πŸ‘€ What We’re Looking For

You are a calm, pragmatic, and resilient engineer who performs well in structured, high-standard environments and takes pride in doing things properly.

You bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering
  • Strong experience with C# / .NET (ASP.NET Core / Web API)
  • Experience building cloud applications on Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with microservices architecture and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with event-driven systems, messaging, or integration platforms
  • Experience working with SQL databases (Azure SQL / PostgreSQL / MS SQL)
    Bonus experience:
    • Azure Service Bus / Event Grid/messaging platforms
    • Docker / Kubernetes
    • Azure DevOps pipelines
    • Event sourcing / CQRS patterns
    • Experience working in large enterprise environments


πŸŽ“ Qualifications

You should be strong in backend and platform engineering, with hands-on experience in most of the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • Recognised Agile practitioner certifications (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, Flow Framework, etc.).
  • Microsoft Azure certifications or strong practical Azure experience is highly desirable.
